Zoo in Martzschpark

Lützen owes a jewel to a 19th century landowner and benefactor - Karl Louis Martzsch: the Martzschpark named after him. Together with a small zoo, it invites Lützen residents and guests alike to stroll and explore.

Thanks to the lovingly maintained petting zoo, the animal park in Martzschpart is particularly popular with children and families. Larger animals such as deer and mouflons can also be admired closely. And while the children discover the numerous playground facilities, parents can enjoy the day in the pleasant restaurant.

Aiming high in the climbing forest

The Lützen climbing forest is also located in Martzschpark. Wobbly bridges, free-swinging ropes and high treetops await brave climbers next to the Gustav Adolf Memorial.

The highlight of the almost 80 climbing and action elements is the 50-metre-long cable car at lofty heights. Whether as a family or as a class, with friends or colleagues - a trip to the climbing forest will be memorable. It is the ideal start or end to a day full of history in Lützen.
